WEAVE CHAIR
Critic: Timothy Newton
Yale School of Architecture | 2016
This elective course prompted us to spend the semester designing and fabricating a single chair. Through the exploration of aesthetic and structural designs, we utilized the creation of small study models and prototypes to develop a final, finished, chair at full scale.
My chair prioritizes comfort and style through its lounge proportions and material choice. The cherry wood structure is warm in color and enables both interior and exterior use of the chair. It’s adjustable back allows for differing levels of lounging while the woven para-cord provides adequate support for all body types.
