SOUTH STREET MARINA
Critic: Dragan Zorich

This studio was treated as a miniature thesis in which we were given a site in South Street Seaport, New York (Pier 17) and developed a program in which to occupy this maritime site.
Our project was a dedication to the maritime mode of transportation, sailing. A marina where sailboats could be rented to sail, see, and “sailebrate” and the locals could dock, dine, drink, and dance to the live performances that occur on the pier’s stage every night. A bar and restaurant can be accessed
by land and boat, bridging the gap between land and water.
